This giant Pleurotus parsosnaie grain spawn is the most prolific available. This grain spawn grows giant mushrooms unlike any other Pleurotus grain spawn available in NZ. Our cultures are DNA sequenced by Landcare NZ.

I have grown our many cultures of Pleurotus parsonsiae and this one simply can not be beaten. Quoted by one grower attempting to grow other cultures of the strain as "Grows oversized mushrooms" how can mushrooms be oversized? simply because they are the best :) why grow smaller mushrooms and get less?

This was the first culture ever that introduced the world to a new strain to grow, its biological efficiency is out of this world. It is the most prolific available. This grain spawn grows giant mushrooms unlike any other Pleurotus grain spawn available in NZ. It is not the mainland's usual cabbage tree version. It is a complete nutter with genes turned on to eat through very hardwood. This is why in bags and on straw it is so good and so different to all the rest. Our cultures are DNA sequenced by Landcare NZ.

This is a beautiful soft version and pink, not the grey chewy version. Unlike the grey version that is real chewy when grown on wood, this one is quite soft. It loves straw but hates wet feet.
