How we approach evidence
Practical instructions should identify the material and growing stage they apply to. A method used for one culture or substrate is not a universal recipe. Species profiles distinguish field observations, culture records and scientific identification.
Our regulatory guide links to MPI, EPA and other official sources. Requirements can change; check the applicable current documents before arranging an import or making a regulatory decision.
Articles and commentary
Industry commentary examines specific public statements and records. An allegation, an unresolved identity and a finding by a regulator are different things. Photographs can illustrate visible features; they do not establish a culture’s genetic identity, a legal breach or the cause of a product’s condition.
Keep good growing records
Record culture identity and source, dates, substrate preparation, conditions and outcomes. The same attention to evidence that makes a useful reference also makes a better growing project.
