Privacy and advertising

This notice describes the current version of Mushroom Growing NZ. Advertising and analytics are disabled. The website provides educational pages and a search facility; it has no customer accounts, checkout, comment system or newsletter sign-up.

Using website search

Search works in your browser against the website's own content index. The search facility does not send your search terms to an external search provider. A search term included in a page address can appear in browser history and, when the site is hosted, in web-server records of that address.

Hosting and technical information

Hosting and security systems may process technical information such as an IP address, requested page, request time and browser details to deliver and protect a website. The hosting provider, actual information collected, purposes, people with access, retention periods and any overseas handling must be confirmed before this notice is used on a public website. Advertising being disabled does not mean that a hosting service keeps no logs.

Cookies, browser storage and other websites

The current website does not load advertising or analytics services or use advertising cookies. The search facility does not store a visitor profile. Hosting or security features added when the website is deployed may have their own storage or processing requirements; those must be described here once confirmed.

Some pages link to other websites. Following a link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices. An ordinary link is different from loading a third-party player or tracking service within this website.

Any future advertising

Google AdSense may be considered later. It is not active in this version. Before advertising is introduced, this notice must be updated to explain the actual providers, information used, purposes and available choices, and the required consent controls must be working.

When a website uses Google's advertising services, Google and its partners may receive information such as the page address and IP address, and may use cookies or similar technologies. Google's explanation is available at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. This link describes a future integration under consideration; it does not mean this website currently sends advertising requests to Google.

Privacy requests and contact

You can ask an organisation for access to personal information it holds about you and request correction of information that is wrong. The operator's identity and a working privacy contact must be supplied here before publication so that requests and concerns can be directed to the right person.
